Financing & leasing

Structured with Aviatax, for vehicles most Austrian lenders do not have in their system.

An imported car with a US VIN and no Eurotax entry confuses ordinary vehicle finance. The valuation models have nothing to price against, and the answer is often no — not because the deal is bad, but because the form does not fit.

What can be arranged

  • Vehicle finance against an imported car, valued on what it is rather than what a database says it is
  • Leasing structures for business use, including the VAT treatment
  • Staged payment across the import timeline rather than one payment at the end
  • Guidance on import fees and how they sit in the financing

Timing matters

The awkward part of an import is that money leaves before the car arrives — the purchase happens in the US, the duties fall at the border, and the car is registered weeks later. Financing that only releases funds against an Austrian registration does not help.

Aviatax structures around the actual sequence, which is the whole reason this is a service rather than a phone number.

Common questions

Can I finance the duties and NoVA as well as the car?

Usually yes, and it is often the sensible structure — they are a real part of the cost of the asset.

Does it work for business purchases?

Yes, and the VAT treatment is materially different. Worth a conversation before you decide whose name the car goes in.

Do I have to use Aviatax?

No. Bring your own lender and we will supply whatever documentation they need.
