Consignment sales

We sell your American car to the people already looking for one.

The problem with selling an imported car privately is that the buyer pool is small, specific, and not reading the general classifieds. Ours is a list of people who have already told us what they want.

What we do

  • Photograph the car properly, which is most of the price difference
  • Write the listing, including the import history buyers actually care about
  • Present it to our buyer list before it goes public
  • Handle viewings, negotiation and the paperwork
  • Store the car with us while it sells, if you prefer

What it earns you

A car with a documented import file, a clean §57a and honest photography sells for materially more than the same car listed with six phone snapshots. That gap is usually larger than the commission.

What it costs

Commission on the sale price, agreed before we list. Storage during the sale is included.

Common questions

How long does a car usually take to sell?

Four to ten weeks for something desirable and correctly priced. We will tell you at the outset if we think the price is wrong.

Do you buy it if it does not sell?

We will make you an offer, which you are free to refuse. See S12.

Who holds the car?

You do — ownership does not transfer until it sells. We hold it physically and insure it.
